For years, it seems that I've been carrying a black shoulder bag with my laptop in it wherever I go. Whether it’s to work and back, or a weekend trip – one thing has always been true, the bag is always there, and it’s always uncomfortable…. and, after a while, painful. After years of feeling like one of my shoulders was destined to break, or my spine would be permanently bent to the side, I tried to switch to a backpack. Unfortunately, that’s not a good solution – just isn’t quite professional, right? Our 2strap idea was born of the very practical need to create a comfortable, professional computer bag or briefcase that can be carried effortlessly through airports, trains, buses, and the sidewalks of the cities in which we work.
Granted, I am biased, but I’ve found the benefits to be beyond what we expected – I actually find myself comfortably walking home from work with a bag full of documents and a computer. In the airport, I can pull my roller-bag with one hand, and have my other hand free to grab my phone or blackberry, because it isn’t necessary to balance my laptop case. The 2strap is nothing extraordinary, it just seems to make my day a little bit easier. Let us know what you think!
Brian and I each travel for business. Over the years, we have discussed how cumbersome, unmanageable and even painful our business cases were to carry. Other travelers and commuters reinforced our concerns and agreed that slinging the bag’s strap around your neck solved one problem but exacerbated others, and that backpacks solved the weight and balance problem but were inaccessible and unprofessional. With 2strap, we think we just might have solved the riddle. It shifts the weight to both shoulders-- relieving back, neck and shoulder stress we all endure through years of travel. Once we had the physics right, we added extra padding for comfort and worked with designers to get the aesthetics right for business. Strange as it is to say – my work bag is finally as comfortable as my golf bag! Drop us a line – let us know what your 2strap does for you!
As an orthopedic surgeon, and a traveler, (and friend of Rick and Brian) it has been great to watch this concept take shape. I believe that 2Strap is the answer.
